The Builder Behind McRae and Co Builders
Mark McRae is a lifelong Ocala native with deep roots in the land and the building trade. He began working in construction at a young age, building barns and fences long before Ocala became what it is today. As a kid, his days often started early—digging post holes by hand, learning the value of hard work, and understanding construction from the ground up. Those early experiences shaped the way he approaches building: with patience, responsibility, and respect for the work.
After years of hands-on experience, Mark founded McRae and Co Builders in 2002 with the goal of bringing a higher level of care and value to every project. He believes that experience is earned not just through success, but through challenges—and that each lesson learned leads to building better the next time. Today, Mark remains closely involved in every project, applying decades of real-world knowledge to deliver thoughtful construction, honest guidance, and results clients can rely on.
